Con-way Truckload Anounces January 2011 Drivers of the Month Outstanding Individuals and Teams Honored For Dedication to Safety and Professionalism

Con-way Truckload, a full truckload carrier and subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), today announced the six winners of its Drivers of the Month recognition for the month of January.
“These exceptional drivers demonstrate the utmost in professionalism every day, and they are truly deserving of this honor for their hard work,” said Saul Gonzalez, chief operating officer, Con-way Truckload. “We thank them for their superior performance and congratulate them on joining the impressive ranks of our Drivers of the Month.”
The following drivers were recognized by the company:
• Company Driver of the Month: Howard Williams has been driving professionally for more than 35 years. Since joining Con-way Truckload in 1986 he has driven more than 2.9 million miles. He resides in Bronaugh, Mo., with his wife, Jule. The couple has three children, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. When he’s not driving, Williams enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and playing golf.
• Company Team of the Month: Michael and Loetta Ruyf joined Con-way Truckload in 1999 and have since driven more than 2.8 million miles. Loetta has been driving professionally for 12 years, while Michael has been driving professionally for 25 years. The couple lives in Joplin, Mo., where they enjoy spending their free time with their two children and eight grandchildren.
• Owner-Operator Driver of the Month: David Foster has been driving professionally for more than 30 years and during his career with Con-way Truckload he has driven more than 1.8 million miles. David resides in Joplin, Mo., with his wife, Susan. The couple has two daughters, Rebecca and Rachel. When not on the road, Foster enjoys hunting, going to truck shows and spending time with his family.
• Owner-Operator Team of the Month: Lawrence and Barbara Schmidt reside in Marshfield, Mo. Lawrence has been driving for 39 years and Barbara has been driving for 35 years. In their spare time, they enjoy visiting casinos around the United States.
