Triple Crown Honors Owner-Operators of the Quarter

Triple Crown Services Company recently named its “Owner-Operator of the Quarter” award recipients. This quarterly award is given to owner-operators who exhibit exceptional performance, safe driving, maintain an on-time services record and based on recommendations from customers and Triple Crown operations management.

The following individuals were recognized as Triple Crown’s owner-operators of the quarter:

Samuel Barnes, with Triple Crown since 2002, Chicago terminal; Jerome Crawford, with Triple Crown since 2008, Atlanta terminal; Daniel Campbell, with Triple Crown since 1997, Sandusky terminal; Harold Curton, with Triple Crown since 2009, Dallas terminal; Ron De La Garza, with Triple Crown wince 1994, Kansas City terminal; Logan Garber, with Triple Crown since 2009, St. Louis terminal; James Jaremko, with Triple Crown since 2006, Minneapolis terminal; Jeffrey Kline, with Triple Crown since 1997, Harrisburg terminal; Ronald Moody, with Triple Crown since 2003, Jacksonville terminal; James Ocasio, with Triple Crown since 2006, Bethlehem terminal; Thomas Rauch, with Triple Crown since 1994, Fort Wayne terminal; and Dennis White, with Triple Crown since 2003, Detroit terminal.

Prime inc. Recognizes 3 Million Mile Achievements

Prime recently recognized two of its drivers for reaching 3 million miles of safe driving for the company. This achievement takes drivers years of hard work, attention to detail and a commitment to professionalism on the road.

“It is a true honor for us to recognize Jeffrey Ayers and John Valentine for achieving 3 million miles of driving without a preventable accident,” said Don Lacy, Prime inc. director of safety. “At Prime, we’re pleased to be their partners and to support their safe, professional work. Congratulations to both of them for their achievement.”

Valentine, who has been with Prime for 23 years, credits much of his accomplishment to Prime’s driver training program. This ongoing program includes online training and DVD resources with driver instructional videos, safety tips and advice for running a successful business. The company also updates its drivers with the latest safety news, said Valentine, making it clear that safety is its number one priority.

“You always have to have the big picture and pay attention to the things going on around you,” said Ayers, who started working for Prime in 1990. “Drive for everyone else and anticipate what they may do.”

Both John Valentine and Jeffery Ayers Have achieved 3 million miles of safe driving for Prime inc.

Both drivers received a check for $5,000, a 3-million-mile leather jacket, a decal for his truck, lapel pin and a jacket patch. Ayers and Valentine also received a plaque with their name and likeness on Prime’s Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mo.

Decker Truck Line Names Drivers of the Month

Rodney Knapp

Decker Truck Line, Inc. is pleased to announce that Rodney Knapp and Dale Leman have been chosen as the company’s March 2012 Drivers of the Month.

Rodney Knapp was selected as Driver of the Month in the Reefer-Van Division. Knapp was nominated by his dispatcher, Gary Northrop, who said “Rodney has been very helpful on covering loads that kept him out on weekends. Rodney is always pleasant to work with.” Knapp has driven for Decker for 21 years.

Dale Leman was chosen as the Flatbed Division’s Driver of the Month.

Leman’s dispatcher, Sue Anderson, says, “Dale is an excellent driver.

He works hard, does his job very well, doesn’t complain and will work into weekends when needed.” Leman and his wife Lezlee are the parents of five children.
In addition to winning a Decker gift certificate, both of these drivers will now be eligible to compete for Driver/Owner-Operator of the Year. This year-end recognition of one driver from each division brings a 1-cent-per-mile pay increase for twelve months.

Decker’s Drivers of the Month are selected by their dispatchers based on overall performance within all areas of the company, including operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment, payroll, billing and customer service.
